Tiger's Milk

Ingredients

2 oz Cognac (brandy)
2 drop Vanilla extract
1 pinch Cinnamon powder
1/4 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
3/4 oz Milk (whole/full 3-4% fat)
3/4 oz Whipping cream
1/2 oz Egg white (pasteurised)

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of grated nutmeg.

Method

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 STRAIN into ice-filled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 Dust with freshly grated nutmeg.

Creamy cognac with spice.

This recipe was adapted from Charles H. Baker Jr's classic book, The Gentleman's Companion. He first encountered this drink in April 1931 at Gerber's Snug Bar in Peking, China.
