History

Best when stirred to the original recipe (45ml blanco tequila, 30ml dry vermouth, 10ml Campari), this Dry Martini-like cocktail benefits from bianco vermouth as it warms.

This drink is adapted from a recipe that first appeared in William James "Billy" Tarling's 1937 Café Royal Cocktail Book Coronation Edition. The recipe is listed as TIA JUANO: 1/8 Campari 3/8 French Vermouth. 1/2 Tequila. Shake.
