2/3 oz Chartreuse Green
2/3 oz Maraschino liqueur
2/3 oz Lime juice
1 oz Cava

How to make

Serve in a flute glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a FLUTE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lime zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 SHAKE first 4 ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 STRAIN into chilled glass.
  3. 5 TOP with sparkling wine.

Garnish

  1. 6 Express lime zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

This herbal sweet and sour Last Word earns its name with a splash of bubbly wine for extra cheer.

Adapted from a recipe by Abigail Gullo at Compère Lapin restaurant in New Orleans, USA. This drink is a variation on the classic Last Word, and its name supposedly comes from the effervescence of the sparkling wine "tickling your nose."
