Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Single malt Scotch whisky
1/6 oz Peated malt whisky
5/6 oz Rosso/sweet vermouth
2 dash Aromatic bitters

How to make

Serve in a nick & nora glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a NICK & NORA GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of orange zest twist and Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 Express orange zest twist over cocktail and discard. Garnish with maraschino cherry.

A Rob Roy variation with a subtle peaty character from a splash of peated single malt.

Sam Paech, of The Baxter Inn in Sydney, Australia, created this drink in 2020. The original recipe was based on The Glenlivet 12yr Speyside single malt Scotch whisky.
