A sophisticated, citrusy Daiquiri with almond and clove notes, served short.
The origins of this particular recipe for the Test Pilot date back to circa 1941, attributed to Donn Beach. It is presented here as adapted from Victor Bergeron’s version, which appeared in his 1972 publication, Trader Vic's Bartender's Guide. TEST PILOT ¼ ounce lemon juice ¼ ounce Falernum ¼ ounce Cointreau ¾ ounce light Puerto Rican rum 1¾ ounce dark Jamaica rum Shake with ice cubes. Pour into a 10-ounce glass.
