This Polish cocktail is named after the 1990 film Dances With Wolves, which starred, was directed by, and produced by Kevin Costner. Tatanka is a word from Native American languages meaning buffalo, and it refers to the bison grass-flavoured vodka that forms the base of this cocktail.
