1 1/2 oz Calvados apple brandy
1/2 oz Cognac (brandy)
1/4 oz German amaro
1/12 oz Brown sugar syrup

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

History

Dry and spirit-forward, as an old-fashioned should be, with liquorice hints. Some may prefer 5ml of sugar syrup instead of the 2.5ml added. Honey syrup is also recommended.
