1 1/2 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Fernet liqueur
1/2 oz Lemon juice
1/3 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
6 drop Saline solution 4:1

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.

Method

  1. 3 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 5 EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

The SPUTNEK is adapted from a recipe found in Stanley M. Jones' 1977 book, Jones' Complete Barguide. This cocktail is served in a Cocktail Glass and is prepared by shaking or blending. The ingredients are: ½ oz Fernet Branca 1-½oz vodka ½ tsp sugar ½ oz lemon (or lime) juice
