History

Andrea invented this cocktail, which she described as being "for enjoying the flavour of smoky whisky with calvados adding to apple fruitiness." She also noted that the amount of Peychaud's bitters used is critical to the drink's success, advising caution with the size of any 'dash'.

This drink is adapted from a 2014 creation by Andrea Buttier, an Italian bartender from Bologna working at The Loft in Clapham Common, London. Andrea's original preparation featured Laphroaig 10-year-old for its malt component, combined with equal parts calvados, 2 shots of apple juice, 2/3rd shot of vanilla syrup, and 1 dash of Peychaud's Bitters.
