History

This spirit-forward cocktail presents subtle smoky peatiness and herbal complexity from Bénédictine and Byrrh.

Created in 2011 by Erik Lorincz at The American Bar in London, England's Savoy hotel, this recipe is adapted from his original. Lorincz's version used 45ml (1½) Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, specifically avoiding peated whisky, and was 'smoked' in a decanter in front of the customer before being served at the table.
