History

Very smooth, yet retains a tequila bite and hints of chocolate and fruit.

Appearing around the late 1970s or early 1980s, the Silk Stocking's first known mention is in Helen Spence's 1982 book Cocktails For Two, where it is described as a blended drink. SILK STOCKINGS This cocktail offers a smooth experience and is prepared using a blender. Combine three parts tequila, two parts white crème de cacao, three parts fresh cream, and a dash of grenadine in the blender cup. Blend with a scoop of crushed ice, then serve the resulting mixture in a glass. A sprinkle of cinnamon and a cherry garnish complete the drink.
