History

A gin-laced, lemon and ginger beer-tail, similar to a shandy with a kick.

This drink is adapted from a 2012 recipe by Pete Jeary, also known as Shaky Pete, from Hawksmoor, Seven Dials, London, England. Pete's original recipe included 35 ml Dry gin, 50 ml Lemon juice, 50 ml Homemade ginger syrup, and 120 ml London Pride Beer. The ginger syrup is prepared by blending 500g of peeled and chopped root ginger with 500g of caster sugar and 250ml of water, then fine-straining it into bottles.
