History
Smooth and dangerously easy to drink. A great dessert.
The name 'Scroppino', pronounced 'scroe-pee-noe', derives from a Venetian vernacular term meaning 'to untie'. This hybrid cocktail and dessert, commonly presented after dinner in Venice, is thought to aid digestion, hence the reference to relaxing the stomach after a substantial meal.
