Harry Craddock's 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book includes a recipe for the ROSELNY COCKTAIL. The proportions are listed as: 2 Dashes Grenadine. 1/3 French Vermouth. 2/3 Dry Gin. It is prepared by shaking well and straining into a cocktail glass, topped with a squeeze of lemon peel. This drink relates to the evolution of the Martini cocktail.
