History

Depending on the coffee liqueur used, this can be dry. Added sugar is an option, and its omission or increase should be based on personal taste. Muscovado or demerara sugar is suggested over white sugar syrup if adding sugar.

This recipe is adapted from one created in 2004 by Jon Santer at Bruno's in San Francisco, USA. It was named after the Beatles' Revolver album following a debate with a musician at the bar about the group's best track. The name is fitting, as the cocktail was originally made with Bulleit Bourbon. The Revolver gained popularity after Jon moved to Bourbon & Branch across town.
