History
Resembles and tastes like a Bloody Mary, but uses gin's aromatic botanicals.
The modern Red Snapper is a Bloody Mary prepared with gin instead of vodka. However, early recipes from the 1940s describe a mixture of equal parts vodka and tomato juice, seasoned with spices, much like an early Bloody Mary. One publication even states that the Red Snapper is identical to the Bloody Mary.
