History
Gin, vermouth's bittersweet wine notes and pineapple fruitiness combine in this fruity Martini. This version traditionally uses 1 part dry vermouth, 1 part rosso vermouth to 2 parts gin. A little less dry vermouth is preferred.
This cocktail recipe is adapted from Harry Craddock's 1930 work, *The Savoy Cocktail Book*. "QUEEN'S COCKTAIL. ½ Slice of Crushed Pineapple. ¼ French Vermouth. ¼ Italian Vermouth. ½ Gin. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass."
