History

Pot still Jamaican rum adds funky notes to this sweet, fruity, gin cocktail.

Jake Burger, at The Portobello Star, London, England, created this recipe in 2014, naturally calling for Portobello Road Gin. Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon (1900–2002), known widely as Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, was the wife of King George VI and mother to Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon. Her fortitude offered moral support to the nation during WWII, and in later years, she was seen as the matriarch of the Royal Family, enjoying widespread public affection. She maintained public engagements until shortly before her death at the age of 101, possibly aided by her reported fondness for gin and Dubonnet Red.
