History
Using mandarine (tangerine) instead of orange makes the Puccini sharper than a mimosa.
This cocktail, named for the composer of Madame Butterfly, is a favorite in Venice and other parts of northern Italy. It is sometimes prepared without the mandarine liqueur. The unverified histories of both the Buck's Fizz and Mimosa appear on that cocktail's page.
