History
Intense and richly fruity. Consume with caution; too many prove potent.
Victor Bergeron's 1972 Trader Vic's Bartender's Guide, Revised, features this drink. The "PORT LIGHT" is made with 2 barspoons honey, 1 ounce lemon juice, ½ ounce passion fruit nectar, 1 egg white, and 2 ounces Bourbon. It is prepared by blending these ingredients with 1 scoop shaved ice in an electric drink mixer. The mixture is then poured into a port light glass, over which ice cubes are added. A garnish of fresh mint and a fruit stick completes the preparation.
