History

If making with standard strength gin, add a splash more but ideally use a 50%+ alcohol by volume gin. The result is a delicious, bite-sized bittersweet aperitivo.

This recipe is adapted from one created around 2016 by Toby Maloney at his bar, The Violet Hour, in Chicago, USA. Tony's original recipe uses 45ml (1½oz) Salers, 30ml (1oz) Junipero gin, and 30ml (1oz) Dolin Blanc vermouth.
