History

A spirit-forward digestive, bittersweet with pleasing herbal overtures.

Plaza Vieja translates from Spanish to 'old square,' and this cocktail is a take on the classic French "old square," the Vieux Carré. This is an adaptation of a recipe developed in 2013 by Joe Cammarata and Sam Treadway at Backbar in Somerville, MA, USA. It was originally made with Braulio Amaro.
