1 oz Red bitter liqueur
1 oz Bianco/blanco vermouth

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of orange slice wheel.

Method

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 STRAIN into ice-filled glass (preferably a large cube or chunk of block ice).

Garnish

  1. 5 EXPRESS orange zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

History

Despite its name, this cocktail is not pink unless a rouge ingredient is used.

This drink was prepared in April 2025 at the suggestion of Neil, a fellow Discerning Drinker. He was compelled to use bianco vermouth in his Negroni "in the absence of red vermouth," and found the resulting concoction to be "delicious."
