History

Bittersweet, sweet 'n' sour, and bristling with grassy rum-led flavour. This Pink Flamingo is an expressive bird and may prove hard to handle for newbie twitchers.

This drink originates from a recipe developed around 2018 by Eric Ochoa, who was working at Over Proof, located above the ABV bar in San Francisco, USA. Ochoa's initial preparation called for a pineapple gum syrup he made himself, in a 1:1 ratio. He also used ABV's signature Tiki-Tivo apéritif, a blend consisting of 1 part Campari, 1 part Capelletti, and ½ part Leopold Bros. Aperitivo.
