History
With its strong rose flavor, the Persepolis is reminiscent of Turkish Delight, garnished appropriately.
Sergio Leanza created this drink in 2018 at Funkidory in Peckham, London, England. He described it as "a Middle Eastern version of a Daiquiri, dedicated to Marjan Satrapi (novelist/illustrator)." 40ml Puerto Rican-style rum 10ml Strega liqueur 15ml rose syrup 15ml lime juice (homemade 1:1 rose syrup: 5g rose petals, 500ml water and 500gr caster sugar) Pārsapura, situated 60 km northeast of Shiraz, Iran, was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire between approximately 550 and 330 BCE.
