2/3 oz Apricot liqueur
2/3 oz Dry vermouth

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a NICK & NORA GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.

  1. 3 STIR all ingredients with ice.
  2. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Named after the Pendennis Club in Louisville, Kentucky, this cocktail's first known mention is in the "Seductive American Cocktails" appendix of William "Cocktail Bill" Boothby's 1908 book, The World's Drinks and How to Mix Them. PENNENNIS CLUB COCKTAIL (Louisville, KY.) One-quarter Apricot brandy, one-quarter French Vermouth, one-half Coates Plymouth gin; shake well, and serve very cold.
