History
Pass this cocktail to the left, or drink with the left hand. Rewarded with a spirituous, bready, vinous, zesty orange flavour, suitable for late-night imbibing.
In September 2019, the drink was updated to a straight-up serving. The name is a reference to the 1981 song "Pass the Dutchie" by Musical Youth. A "dutchie" is defined as a cast iron cooking pot, or Dutch oven. The lyrics include the line, "Pass the dutchie 'pon de left 'and side...how does it feel when ya got no food?"
