History
A sophisticated, complex balance of gin and orange.
This drink is adapted from the Orange Cocktail and Orange Martini Cocktail found in Harry Craddock's 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book. The Orange Blossom Cocktail calls for 2½ Glasses of Gin, 2 Glasses of French Vermouth, and 1 Glass of Italian Vermouth. The finely-grated rind of 1 orange, with all white pith carefully removed, is steeped in this mixture for one to two hours. It is then added to ice and shaken. Glasses are rinsed with Orange Bitters.
