History

A smooth, creamy, orangey dessert cocktail that is surprisingly strong and far from overly sweet. However, be warned, it is thick and rich - as a dessert cocktail should be.

Initially conceived as an "Orange Custard Martini" – a common practice for new cocktails in that era – the name was altered to 'Cocktail' for propriety. In January 2019, the quantity of advocaat was slightly reduced, and the relatively obscure Tuaca liqueur was substituted with brandy, with the addition of vanilla bitters. These adjustments are believed to have improved the drink overall.
