History
This Wet Martini-style drink is a Fairbanks No.2 variant, using Lillet instead of dry vermouth.
The Old Etonian Cocktail is featured in Harry Craddock's 1930 book, The Savoy Cocktail Book. The recipe calls for: 2 Dashes Orange Bitters. 2 Dashes Crème de Moyau. ½ London Gin. ½ Kina Lillet. It is prepared by shaking the ingredients well and then straining them into a cocktail glass, finished with a squeeze of orange peel on top.
