History
An Obituary variation using Old Tom gin and bianco vermouth instead of London Dry and dry vermouth. If using dry gin, the recipe is 60ml (2oz) Dry Gin (from freezer), 7.5ml (¼oz) Dry vermouth, 2.5ml (½ spoon) Absinthe.
In the 1940s, Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop in New Orleans saw a rise in popularity for this Dry Martini variant, which includes absinthe. It is considered one of the signature cocktails of New Orleans.
