History
A sipper of a cocktail to follow a meal or for late-night contemplation.
This recipe is adapted from one created in 2020 by J. E. Clapham of Clapham Cocktails. Mr Clapham stated that the drink, originally served straight-up, is "The Monteleone, a Vieux Carré riff named after the Sicilian founder of the hotel where the Vieux Carré was born, in New Orleans – I am guessing he was partial to Averna like most Sicilians I have met."
