J. A. Grohusko's 1908 Jack's Manual provided the basis for this drink. MONTANA CLUB COCKTAIL Fill a large bar glass with ice. Add Angostura bitters, 2 dashes. Add Anisette, 2 dashes. Add Chappaz French Vermouth, ½ jigger. Add Californian brandy, ½ jigger. Stir with a spoon, then strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an olive before serving.
