History
A grassy, minty digestif with balanced acidity and sweetness.
Harry Craddock's 1930 The Savoy Cocktail Book includes a recipe for this drink. MINT COCKTAIL Steep a few sprigs of fresh mint in one and a half glasses of White Wine for two hours. Incorporate half a glass of Crème de Menthe, two glasses of Gin, and one and a half glasses of White Wine. Chill with ice and shake vigorously. Garnish each glass with a sprig of mint, artfully placed.
