History

Mezcal's assertive flavours harmonize with blackcurrant liqueur, lime juice, and ginger beer.

This drink was originally named El Diablo, a tequila-based cocktail from Trader Vic's. Erik Maloney, a fellow Discerning Drinker, suggests that names like Smoky Devil, Diablo Ahumado, or Diablo Humeante might be more fitting.
