History
A spirit-forward sipper, rich and easy, with bourbon mellowed by maple syrup.
The Maple Old Fashioned, made with bourbon, was first encountered in 2004 at Indigo Yard in Edinburgh, Scotland. More recently, rum has become the preferred base spirit for a Maple Rum Old Fashioned. Either spirit base results in a delightful variation on the classic Old-Fashioned.
