History

Picon Amer replaces triple sec in this Lynchburg Lemonade, making it more interesting and balanced.

Cam Dawson, the Jack Daniel's brand ambassador for the UK, adapted this recipe in 2023. Dawson, who has held the position for a long time, described his approach: "What do you do if a bar doesn't want to put a classic 'Lynchburg Lemonade' on their menu? Reinvent it, of course! I deconstructed the classic 80's 'disco drink' and rebuilt it to be stronger (50ml Jack), switched the orange liqueur (triple sec) for an orange amaro (Amer Picon) & included more lemon than a simple squeeze of a wedge. With the Spritz craze still going strong in the UK and people are more accepting of Amaros and bitter flavours. This is a great aperitif."
