History

Blanco tequila is preferred for freshness over aged or rose variants. Creole bitters add colour and complexity.

Adam George Fournier developed this cocktail in 2023 at Spago, a restaurant located in Los Angeles, California, USA. The drink is a variation on a recipe that uses Tequila Komos Reposado Rosa, a tequila with a rose hue. It also incorporates a homemade cordial made from salted lychee, manzanilla sherry, elderflower liqueur, and fresh lime juice.
