History
This semi-sweet drink has strong liquorice flavour with hints of fruit.
George Bassett, who lived from 1818 to 1886 and was a manufacturer of liquorice sweets, did not invent the Liquorice Allsort bearing his name. This confectionary creation occurred 15 years after George's death, when a salesman inadvertently dropped a tray of sweets, causing them to mix into the now-famous sweet.
