History

Full-bodied Jamaican funk, herbal vermouth, and pimento bitters distinguish this almond rum sour.

Cocktail historian and author Philip Greene created this drink circa 2013 after a sailing trip with his father on Chesapeake Bay, the largest estuary in the United States. The cocktail is named for an American fighting schooner that sank during the 1812 war, struck by the British near Bodkin Point, close to where Greene's sailboat was moored.
