History
Absinthe and pineapple are prominent, with Scotch appearing last. A great flavour medley.
The Linstead was brought to notice by J. E. Clapham, of Clapham Cocktails. Its first known appearance is in William Boothby's 1934 book, World Drinks and How to Mix Them. The recipe from the book is as follows: LINSTEAD Whisky... ½ jigger Absinthe... 1 dash Pineapple Syrup... ½ jigger Shake well with ice, strain into chilled cocktail glass, twist lemon peel over and serve.
