History

The Spirit of the Staircase is a brief and potent cocktail. Its primary notes are cognac, supported by subtle touches of absinthe, pear, and banana.

This drink was created in 2015 by Thomas Egerton at Eau de Vie, England. The name's literal English translation, 'the spirit of the staircase,' lacks the same impact.
