Ingredients

1 oz Blanco tequila
1/2 oz Mezcal
1/2 oz Bitter bianco liqueur
1/4 oz Chilli liqueur
1 oz Pineapple juice
3/4 oz Lime juice
1/3 oz Agave syrup

How to make

Serve in a old-fashioned glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill an OLD-FASHIONED GLASS.
  2. 2 RIM glass with Tajín seasoning (moisten outside edge with lime or orange juice and drip into Tajín).
  3. 3 Prepare garnish of thin pineapple slice wheel.

Method

  1. 4 SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. 5 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. 6 Garnish with pineapple slice.

History

A hybrid of the Picante de la Casa and Jungle Bird.

This cocktail is adapted from a recipe created by Ricardo Rodriguez, the bar manager of La Otra in Lita restaurant, located in Aberdeen Township, New Jersey. The name Leña, incidentally, means firewood in Spanish.
