2/3 oz Sloe gin liqueur
2/3 oz Rosso/sweet vermouth
2/3 oz Dry vermouth
3 dash Creole bitters

Serve in a coupe glass

History

While some may prefer to stir this gin-based aperitif, shaking it, as per the original 1933 recipe, is recommended for a more vibrant result. It is important to note that an orange zest twist complements this cocktail, whereas a lemon twist does not.
