History
Ginger ale and lemon juice add freshness to this advocaat-like cocktail. With a whole egg, this drink will revitalise.
This drink is adapted from a recipe found in The World's Drinks And How To Mix Them, published in 1908 by the Hon. William "Cocktail Bill" Boothby. LAWN TENNIS COOLER. In a small mixing-glass, combine a dessertspoon of sugar, the juice of two lemons, one raw egg, and a jigger of cognac. After shaking with two or three lumps of ice, strain into a large goblet. Top with ginger ale, stir, garnish, and serve with straws.
