History
Kir's cassis and white wine apéritif, enhanced with vodka. Pisco adds complexity, or use Marc de Bourgogne.
The Kir Apéritif, which became widely known due to Canon Kir, the Mayor of Dijon, France, from 1946 to 1968, served as the inspiration for this cocktail. At official gatherings, he would offer a drink combining the regional crème de cassis with white wine from Bourgogne Aligoté. This mixture eventually took on the name Kir Apéritif.
