History
Bone dry and aromatic, this drink has a grey hue.
This classic is believed to have originated in the 1920s. The recipe below is adapted from Harry Craddock's 1930 book, The Savoy Cocktail Book. JUPITER COCKTAIL. 1 Teaspoon Orange Juice. 1 Teaspoon Parfait Amour. 1/3 French Vermouth. 2/3 Dry Gin. SHAKE well and strain into cocktail glass. The Martini cocktail and its evolution are subjects of much discussion.
