History

Charles was sour when he created this aromatic sour.

On May 16th, 2008, renowned bartender Charles Vexenat was unfortunately detained in New Orleans during Tales of the Cocktail following an incident at the Old Absinthe House where his associate, Dre, dropped a bottle. Charles's predicament was resolved the following day when Melanie Asher, proprietor of Macchu Pisco, posted bail, securing their release. This cocktail, originating from PDT in New York City, serves as Charles's tribute to Melanie.
