History
The sugar and fat content are more noticeable than the alcohol.
The origin of this drink is not known. It is named after and inspired by a well-known British biscuit produced by Burton's Foods. Jammie Dodgers were introduced in 1960. They consist of two circular shortbread discs with raspberry-flavored plum jam between them. The top biscuit has a heart-shaped cutout revealing the jam. In recent years, the original heart-shaped design on the shortbread has been changed to splashes.
