History

Faint sweetness, slight dilution, and a thin foam are essential to a good Trashy Margarita. It offers the qualities of a powdered sour-mix margarita using fresh ingredients. Dry shaking is unnecessary, as the egg white is included to add roundness and mouthfeel, not a frothy head. A standard wet shake achieves sufficient foam.

Hunter observes, "I do think there is something to be said for the 'sports bar/backyard barbeque' Margarita that we all know or hate." He further describes it as "Essentially tequila limeade or tequila punch."
